When is your
money day?
Enter your birth date. DailyAstro derives your day master and scores every day of the year for indirect and direct wealth, picks the golden hour inside each one, and shows you exactly where every point came from. Plus almanac-gated dates for opening a business, signing, moving, or marrying — and a BaZi compatibility check for a spouse, a friend, a colleague, a business partner, a boss or a helper.

How the scoring works
Your birth date gives the year, month and day pillars. The day pillar's heavenly stem is your day master. The element your day master controls is your wealth: same polarity is indirect wealth (偏財 — windfalls, speculation, one-off gains), opposite polarity is direct wealth (正財 — salary, contracts, steady income).
Every day of the year is then scanned. A day whose stem is your indirect wealth scores 50; direct wealth scores 40. The day's branch adds up to 50 more when it completes a three-harmony group with your natal branches, +20 for a six-harmony with your day branch, +15 with your month branch, or +10 when the branch's own element simply matches your wealth element. Then the veto: any day whose branch clashes or punishes your natal day or month branch is removed outright, however high it scored. Finally the 五鼠遁 rule derives the stems of that day's twelve two-hour periods and picks the strongest one — your golden hour.
100 points is the cut-off. 100 is “good”, 130 is “strong”, 160 is “exceptional”, and 190 is the theoretical ceiling. Every date carries a “why” view listing each rule and its points, summing to the total. No black box. Read the full method →
Not just money
For opening a business, signing, moving house, marrying and travelling, the traditional almanac decides first and your chart only sorts what survives. The day's 宜 (“suitable”) list must contain a term for that purpose — 開市 for opening, 立券 or 交易 for signing, 移徙 or 入宅 for moving, 嫁娶 for marriage, 出行 for travel. Where a purpose has more than one term, each term is judged on its own: it counts only if it appears in 宜 and that same term is absent from the day's 忌 (“avoid”) list. One surviving term is enough for the day to qualify, and only the terms that actually survived are listed. If the day clashes with your chart, it is out. Only then do your personal harmony bonuses rank the survivors.
Compatibility: seven relationships, seven rulebooks
Spouse, partner you are dating, friend, colleague, business partner, boss, or the helper you are about to hire — pick the relationship, enter a birth date, and the pair is scored against you. Each lens has its own weights and its own vocabulary: a business partnership cares most about the difference between 比肩 (an even split) and 劫財 (the star that takes an uneven share), a boss is read through 正官 and 正印, a marriage through the day-branch six-harmony and 天合地合. Day-branch clash, punishment and harm, and year-branch clash and harm, cost points under every lens — only the weight changes. Base 50, clamped to 0–100, and every score says whether it was computed for the two of you together or from your side alone.
Hiring a helper scores the whole household (your own score counts double). A spouse is scored for the two of you only; a relative who clashes with them is flagged, never averaged in. Gender is optional: when it is missing, or the couple is same-sex, the classical 男財女官 rule gives way to the generation-and-control reading, and the app says so. See a full sample report →
One device, more than one person
You can keep several profiles on the same device: you, family, friends, plus the candidates who exist only to be compared. A profile switcher sits at the top of both Today and Date selection, so one tap reads a relative's or a friend's own money days, golden hours and almanac dates — no re-entering anything, and no borrowing your chart to explain somebody else's day.
The last entry in that switcher is Everyone. Pick it and Today becomes one page for the whole roster: who has a money day today, one row each with the score, the golden hour and any 沖太歲 caution, and below it every person's upcoming lucky days merged into a single list, earliest first and highest-scoring first within a day. Tapping a row opens that person's own breakdown. It only appears once there are at least two people to switch between.
Birth time unknown? Still works
Most people know the day they were born, not the two-hour period. Many tools quietly assume midnight so the chart looks complete. That is fabrication, and DailyAstro will never put a character into your chart that you did not give it: with no birth time there is simply no hour pillar. Golden hours still work regardless, because they are derived from the candidate day's stem, not from your birth hour.
To be exact: every score today is computed from the year, month and day pillars only. If you do supply a birth time it is stored, shown on your chart, and written into the prompt for the AI reading (which only goes out when you press the button yourself; see the privacy policy for where it goes) — but it changes no score, no qualifying date, no band and no golden hour. Leaving it blank costs you nothing, and filling it in does not make the numbers more accurate. Every rule is written out →
Your data stays on your device
Free date scoring needs no login. Birth dates, household profiles and settings stay in browser localStorage, and all scoring runs on your device. Membership does not sync birth profiles; login, billing and AI usage have separate server records.
When a member requests an AI explanation, computed scores and rules are forwarded to DeepSeek using the site key (Gemini is also supported as a fallback), with no name or raw birth date. Replies and usage records are saved for recovery and credit accounting. Membership · Privacy policy →
